Auto Insurance

Autopac is a public insurance plan available to all Manitoba residents.

Autopac provides:

  • Personal injury protection for injury or death caused by an automobile

  • Coverage for accidental damage to most registered vehicles

  • Coverage for claims made against you if your registered vehicle injures other people elsewhere in Canada or the U.S. or damages other people's property anywhere in Canada or the U.S.

2001 marked Manitoba Public Insurance's 30th year of protecting Manitoba motorists. MPI is a not-for-profit Crown Corporation that provides basic Autopac insurance to all Manitobans.

Optional Autopac coverage gives you the choice to buy higher levels of coverage than basic Autopac or to buy coverage that basic Autopac doesn't provide.

Optional coverage:

  • Increase your Third Party Liability limit beyond $200,000 to $1,000,000, $2,000,000 or $5,000,000

  • Decrease your All-Perils deductible from $500 to $300, $200 or $100

  • Protect your vehicle in storage

  • Insure your high-value vehicle beyond the $50,000 limit provided through Basic Autopac.

  • Purchase Auto Loss of Use coverage to guarantee replacement transportation in the event of a loss.

  • Protect your investment in your new vehicle by purchasing new/leased car protection. Optional coverage also provides Collision and Comprehensive protection, Third Party Liability, Accident Benefits and Family Protection for your Snowmobile or other Off-road vehicle.
